An established construction company delivering maintenance and project services across government contracts is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support a long-term government projects and continuos organsational growth.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a practical understanding of trade-based maintenance works.
About the Role
You will coordinate planned maintenance works, managing work orders from start to finish — from trade allocation through to completion and invoicing.
Working alongside a small, supportive team, this role focuses on organisation, communication, and keeping multiple jobs moving at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process work orders through internal systems
- Review job scope and assign works to preferred subcontractors
- Coordinate trades, book works, and manage timeframes
- Track progress to ensure jobs meet client KPIs
- Liaise with trades, clients, and internal stakeholders daily
- Review trade variation requests for accuracy and reasonableness
- Submit variations for client approval where required
- Collect completion documentation and prepare invoices using Schedule of Rates
- Provide regular progress updates to the client
- Previous experience in project coordination
- Exposure to maintenance, construction, facilities, or trade-based environments
- Basic trade knowledge (e.g. plumbing, electrical, handyman works)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills
- Comfortable managing high job volumes with competing deadlines
- Experience working with excel and ability to learn new systems
- A good sense of humour, mature mindset, and a “get it done” attitude
