Looking for a payroll position where you can truly own the function, improve systems, and make a real impact? We have an available opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to step into a standalone role managing end-to-end payroll across two entities.
This position offers a strong balance of ownership, flexibility, and stability, suited to someone confident running payroll independently while also contributing to system and process improvements.
The Role
- End-to-end payroll processing (weekly and fortnightly cycles)
- Manage onboarding, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Oversee leave, super, tax, commissions, and bonuses
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting requirements
- Act as the key point of contact for payroll queries
- Work within the Elmo system (recently implemented)
- Support the rollout of clock-in/clock-out functionality
- Transition from manual timesheets to digital processes
- Assist with digitising employee records and improving file management
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes
- Proven payroll experience
- Comfortable working in a standalone capacity
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
- Detail-oriented with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Experience with Elmo is highly regarded
- Part-time structure (3–4 days per week)
- Flexible start and finish times
- Option for 1 day work from home (4-day arrangement)
