The Business
An Australian based global leader in medical technology, this organisation develops and delivers innovative, cloud-connected solutions that improve patient outcomes and transform healthcare delivery. With a strong footprint across North America, APAC, and Europe, the business combines advanced hardware, software, and data platforms at scale.
Technology is a core enabler of growth, with significant ongoing investment in cloud, digital platforms, and infrastructure. The procurement function plays a critical role in supporting this, partnering closely with technology leaders to drive value, manage risk, and optimise how services are delivered globally.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, this position sits as a 2IC to a high-performing leader within a global procurement function. The environment is complex, fast-moving, and still evolving, ideal for someone who can step into ambiguity, build structure, and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.
Drive enterprise-wide cloud and infrastructure strategy across a global tech environment. Own the circa $240m spend and shape long-term value.
You’ll take ownership of major cloud and infrastructure initiatives from day one, with clear expectations around cost optimisation, vendor strategy, and improving how technology services are consumed across the business.
This role will suit someone who wants to move beyond sourcing into true strategic influence - shaping how technology spend is managed at a global level.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading global IT category strategy across cloud (AWS, Microsoft), SaaS, and private infrastructure
- Partnering with senior technology stakeholders to influence spend, drive efficiency, and optimise vendor performance
- Delivering key transformation programs across public cloud cost optimisation and private cloud infrastructure (servers, networks, data centres),
- Shaping governance, supplier strategy, and long-term commercial outcomes
- Realising financial and operational targets developed in collaboration with leadership, target setting and savings pipeline development
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven IT procurement or category management experience across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise infrastructure
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in complex environments
- Strategic thinking who operates well in ambiguity and can challenge constructively
- Demonstrated experience driving initiatives forward with a focus on long-term value, not just transactional savings
- Influential communication style across multiple levels, internally and externally
Benefits
- Total package up to circa $270k ($180k - $210k base + super + 15% bonus)
- Australia based Global role with exposure across US, Canada, and APAC
- Flexible working - hybrid with autonomy on days
- High-impact role with visibility across technology leadership
- Opportunity to shape and mature a global IT procurement function
- Work closely with a highly capable and progressive leadership team
