This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in local government planning, reporting, business performance or corporate strategy who enjoys working collaboratively across multiple business units.
The Opportunity As the Integrated Planning & Reporting Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting Council's strategic planning framework by coordinating reporting, maintaining performance management systems and assisting with the delivery of statutory Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) requirements.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure accurate reporting, maintain corporate planning systems and provide guidance to users throughout the planning and reporting cycle.
The Role
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of Council's strategic, business and capital works plans.
- Support the delivery of the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan and other IP&R documentation.
- Maintain and enhance Council's performance reporting and planning systems.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing administration of performance management databases.
- Provide user support and training to staff using planning and reporting systems.
- Monitor organisational performance data and ensure reporting is accurate, timely and compliant.
- Analyse information, identify trends and prepare reports for management.
- Liaise with stakeholders across Council to coordinate planning and reporting activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to corporate planning and performance reporting.
- At least 2 years' experience in corporate planning, performance reporting, business improvement or a similar role.
- Experience working with performance management systems, databases or corporate planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and engage with stakeholders across all levels.
- An understanding of statutory reporting requirements, preferably within a local government environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
