Head of Supply Chain
  • Convenient Location | Macquarie Park- multi site responsibility (onsite Parking)
  • Salary range between $200,000-$250,000 + Super + Bonus
  • Member of ELT, transformation and ownership of end-to-end supply chain

This dynamic, multinational market leader within the Healthcare industry is a global leader within their niche market. Providing critical medical equipment and care to patients nationally this company relies on efficient supply chain more than most. This organisation is committed to providing high quality care and efficient access to their products and service and are looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead this function int its next phase of growth. Initially you will review current processes and identify operational bottle necks, then execute a plan to drive improvements and efficiencies. The successful candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting into the operational detail, whilst at the same time maintaining a high level, strategic perspective. This will be a period of transformation and thus strong leadership through this change will be imperative.

 

Reporting to a Regional Head of Supply Chain with dotted line to the local Managing Director your key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of supply chain, warehousing and logistics professionals to oversee all-round supply chain functions including interaction with local and regional internal/external suppliers
  • Identify opportunities for local process improvements leading to related implementation projects
  • Pursue & lead engagements leveraging various supply chain technologies to develop and implement strategies and operational improvement projects within the organization, as well as within the extended supply chain with suppliers and partners
  • Develop and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders, 3PL partners and the team across the business to drive value
  • Partner with the business on S&OP process leadership
  • Prepare and deliver the monthly supply chain KPI dashboard which includes supply chain cost forecasting and actual reporting (in conjunction with finance).
  • Contribute and collaborate closely with the customer service team and ANZ sales team to ensure strong delivery and sales forecasting
  • Operate within OHS guidelines to ensure employee safety at all times
  • Oversee the control and management of the flow of goods from receipt, through storage to distribution to meet the service targets of OTIF, keeping targeting lead times
  • Negotiate and manage the operational aspects of 3PL and freight contracts
  • Lead the development and enforcement of established supply policy and procedures, carrying out regular internal audits across all facilities

 

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain leadership role ideally gained from within the Health Care, medical devices or pharmaceutical industry (industry not essential).
  • Substantial Logistics and Supply Chain Management experience, with exposure to driving change management, transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to global organisation frameworks working across APAC regions is an advantage.
