The Company

For nearly 40 years the business has been supplying and manufacturing specialist products for people requiring disability support. They work with the best brands as well as design and manufacture tailored solutions for their customers.

Their products literally change lives. There aren’t many businesses that can say that and really mean it. They work directly with people who need their products as well as collaborating with therapists and health practitioners to help drive business to their products. They also have a distribution division that has a very large dealer network that has huge potential for growth.

You’ll be joining a large small business of 15 people who are passionate about what they do and the positive impact their products have on their customers lives.

 

The Role

This is a newly created role reporting to the Managing Director. The goal is to drive sales growth without compromising the outstanding service that they are known for.

Along with P&L oversight, you’ll be actively helping the sales team to grow the business and revenue streams.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Driving performance, workforce development, and business growth initiatives
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial management and compliance oversight (e.g. NDIS)
• Embedding a high-performance culture that won’t come at the expense of high-quality service
• Being part of a business that delivers great outcomes for people in our society who face significant mobility challenges

 

About You

You don’t need to have come from a healthcare background to succeed here. There are great people in the business who can grow your knowledge of the space. We need someone who can lead the team locally and work with the MD on the growth strategies.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous experience managing a business through a growth period – your knowledge of processes, initiatives, sales strategies that deliver results are what we need here
• A collaborative management style that you use to help the team grow and develop
• Sound financial and sales acumen – you’ll have P&L oversight, and the MD wants a right-hand person who can find and grasp opportunities
• A clear communication style that you can adapt to audiences at all levels
• An eagerness to ‘work for purpose’ and be part of a business that has made it their focus to enrich their customers lives
