This business presents an exciting opportunity for a Commercially focused Finance Leader who is equally comfortable dealing with the Operations team as they are talking to a Board. This position will be the right hand to the CEO, providing advice on all things financial, growth opportunities and commercial insights. You will be responsible for the accurate reporting of the company's financial performance as well as support the team with all financial aspects of planning, decision making and cost control within the business. As a member of the Senior Leadership team the position will play a key role in ensuring a sustainable and successful future for the business.
Reporting directly to the CEO the Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and capital investments.
- Provide variance analysis and investigate to create actionable insights and recommendations on areas of business performance.
- Prepare monthly management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Work closely with commercial, operations, and sales teams to align financial plans with business activity.
- Support pricing, contract evaluation, and investment decisions with financial analysis
- Advise management on profitability improvement, cost control, and efficiency opportunities.
- Cashflow ownership
- Capital and Asset Management
- Manage the month end process, tax returns and compliance reporting
- M&A due diligence and special projects where required
To be successful in this position you will be:
- CA or CPA qualified with likely experience working in a medium sized organisation
- From a traditional accounting career path, more recently focused on commercial business partnering and performance analysis
- Experienced in change management and driving transformation in a growing private business
- Have strong systems and Excel experience and an eye for process improvement
- Impeccable communication with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building exposure across Corporate and Operations
