I'm partnering with a leading non-for-profit organisation in Bella Vista in recuiting for an Assistant Accountant on a 6-months fixed term contract basis. 

Working in a close-knit team, the role will be partnering closely with the Financial Controller in producing month-end financial results, and have the satisfaction of being able to make a difference in people's lives.

Keen to talk to assistant accountants who are immediately available or on short notice. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be looking after the following:

• Preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations including prepayment and accruals
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Support transactional team with Accounts Payables and Receivable transactions as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Support with BAS, GST, and other regulatory reporting
• Work with different internal stakeholders for accurate reporting and compliance
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc accounting tasks as required

ABOUT YOU:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards
• 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience preferred
• Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
• Excellent communicator 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience in ERP system
• Immediately available or with short-notice

ABOUT THE BENEFITS:

• 6 months fixed term contract which means you are entitled to statutory benefits (annual leave, sick leave, etc)
• $70,000 to  $80,000 + super, prorated to contract duration
• With not-for-profit salary packagin of $15,900 tax free benefit
• Walking distance from Bella Vista Metro Station
• Further gain hands-on skills from working closely with the Financial Controller
