Part-Time Assistant Accountant – $75,000–$80,000 + Super (Pro Rata)

With two major acquisitions about to finalise – a professional basketball team in Canada and a netball team in Brisbane – the growth is only just beginning. In this role, you’ll be the  backbone of the accounting function, working closely with the Group CFO to manage the finances across both Australia and Canada. This is a hands-on position where no two days will be the same – perfect if you like variety and enjoy being kept on your toes.

The Role

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Small payroll processing (Australia only)
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• Month-end processes
• Liaising with external providers for BAS & GST compliance
• Working across Xero and QuickBooks

About You

• CPA/CA qualified or working towards (beneficial but not essential)
• Experience in AP, AR, payroll, and month-end accounting
• Comfortable working across multiple entities and countries
• Knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks is highly valued
• A team player with strong attention to detail and an interest in the sporting sector
