This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with the finance team, and being part of a business where your contribution is valued. 

With a genuine view to go permanent, the role is for ASAP start so it would fit someone who is immediately available or on short notice. 


ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in keeping the finance function running smoothly across multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and receivable processing
• Job costing and cost tracking across construction projects
• Processing invoices, variations and progress claims
• Reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer and job cost)
• Month-end support including journals and accruals
• Assisting with BAS, Taxation, compliance
• Maintaining accurate records within JobPac
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and administration

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience using JobPac(MUST HAVE)
• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Exposure to the construction industry highly regarded
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
• A practical, down-to-earth approach and willingness to pitch in
• Comfortable working in a close-knit, family-owned environment
