My client is a small to medium organisation that has been consistently growing, carving out a niche in the industrial market through its ongoing commitment to superior quality of product and exception customer service to its clientele. My client is looking for a standalone Accounts Receivable Officer who will take ownership off and manage their receivable function from invoicing to allocations and collections. This is an exciting opportunity with a strong, potential to go temp to perm.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but not limited too):

• Allocate daily bank payments and cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Process credit card transactions and deposit cheques.
• Manage and monitor the AR mailbox and intercompany transactions.
• Assess and process credit applications for new customers.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and oversee collections activities.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls to address billing inquiries and resolve disputes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
• Perform monthly debtor account reconciliation.
• Prepare financial statements and reports on receivables.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ideally 4/5 + years in an Accounts Receivable capacity with small to medium business exposure being ideal
• Strong system skills with Oracle being highly regarded but not essential
• Proven experience managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes from invoicing to allocations and collections
• Consistent and strategic approach to successfully receiving payments from different modes and debt collection 
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships across inbound and outbound customer calls
