Cancer Council Relay For Life

As some of you may know, being a part of the Cancer Council Hills Relay for Life has become an important part of our years at Norwest and Southwest Recruitment. We started raising money for Cancer through this fun, local event about 6 years ago at the suggestion of a staff member affected by cancer. It was a very easy charity to get staff engagement with because sadly, it’s hard not to be touched somehow by cancer in most people’s lives.

We started off our journey with the aim of raising money and like so many things in life, the actual reality of it was just so much bigger and better then we expected. The Hills Relay for Life has become such an inherent part of our internal culture; it’s so good for staff morale. It helps people feel part of their community, brings work colleagues together and makes them feel worthwhile.
