Go Seriously Green with Norwest Recruitment in 2008!

We Australians must love work as we clock up some of the longest hours in the world. About 33% of our lives are spent chipping away at the grindstone but does the extra time we devote to work really equate to betterment for all?

Work environments consume major quantities of water, energy and other valuable resources. Global warming and climate change are hot topics right now and look like being major issues for this planet for many decades to come. A lot has been written about conserving energy at home but what about the workplace? This year, Norwest Recruitment has decided to Go Seriously Green!

In addition to common practices of recycling paper and good kitchen facilities and practices, Norwest Recruitment aims to go seriously green by inspecting every aspect of its workflow and seeing if there is a green alternative. Planned initiatives include use of personal mugs for take-away coffees, refillable pens instead of disposables, sleep mode on computers and monitors, indoor plants, use of like minded suppliers, green vehicles and reuse of printer and ink cartridges to name but a few.

Everyone has an important role to play in making things happen so challenge your company to become a ‘Green Team’ and Go Seriously Green in 2008!

If you need help or advice on going green, contact Shirley Perle at Norwest Recruitment on 8853 4116.
